The Great Lakes International Rotaract Club is physically located in Rotary district 6290 and is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Coopersville, Michigan, USA.  Our goal from the beginning has been to develop a diverse, international membership base where the ideals of Rotaract can be put into action.  By not limiting ourselves to one college or city we believe that we can best serve those who don't readily have access to a Rotaract club in their community.  Unlike a college club our members have the opportunity to stay involved with the club for a longer period of time.

We are excited about our international membership and extend a sincere invitation to anyone 18-30 who wishes to be a part of something bigger.  We adhere to the Rotary motto of "Service Above Self" and are active in the following areas of service:
  • Promoting peace
  • Fighting disease
  • Providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene
  • Literacy programs
  • Supporting education
  • Much, much more
Because we are made up of many groups of people in various geographical locations we have a unique view on service projects.  When a project presents itself we can all work within our own communities to participate.  For example, if we are doing a literacy project all members can participate at a library or school near where they live.  Working together in solidarity we can do great things.

So, no matter if you live in Canada or Cambodia, California or Crimea, the Galapagos or Germany - we are Great Lakes International Rotaract and we would love to have you become a part of our Rotaract family.
